I love creating cut-paper illustrations! Each illustration piece is meticulously cut by hand and hand-painted to accentuate details. There’s just something about the process of cutting and arranging the paper to create a beautiful image that brings me great peace, joy, and satisfaction. And the best part is that each piece is unique with its personality—no two are ever the same. Whether I’m creating a piece for a client or just for myself, I always pour my heart and soul into it, and I think that passion shines through.

Children’s book illustration

When My Baby Came Home: A Memory Book, was self-published with author Heidy Blaney Spenard in 2004. Children can welcome and bond with their new baby sibling by printing their hands and feet using an ink pad. The colorful and detailed cut-paper and acrylic-painted illustrations tell a visual story about the iconic wildlife scenes in Maine.
